Conferences
In response to climate change, growing urbanization, and environmental degradation, Trella partnered with the Nature Based Solution Institute(NBSI) to host a global conference titled Reimagining Future Cities the Green Way. Science, Policy and Practice. With a focal point on China and the US, this conference discussed the science, policies, and practices to create cleaner, greener, healthier and more beautiful cities. Innovators and experts from a wide range of disciplines in the public and private sectors presented on this crucial topic. Sponsored tree planting kept the conference carbon neutral.

Online Learning
In addition to growing healthy urban forests, Trella has been a dedicated educator in environmental science. In partnership with IvyOnline, Trella has created a series of online courses that tailor to Chinese students. The series of courses known as the Trella Green Series provide students with an affordable way to learn about environmental science and conduct hands-on research. Some of the past topics includes: “Eco-Solutions: Smart Greenhouse” and “Seeds and Trees”. In the future, Trella will continue to develop more engaging courses and provide high-quality materials for the online platform. As educators, Trella has planted seeds of scientific discovery and environmental protection in the hearts of these young scholars.

Art & Nature
Trella has been dedicated to exhibiting art inspired by nature and providing a space for all to reflect on nature through art. Through the Trella Art project, people can create, share, and appreciate the nature around them and express what inspires them about nature through a variety of art forms. For Earth Day 2021, Trella hosted an online art contest with the theme of “Restore Our Earth”. This art competition received over 300 artworks created by people of all ages from around the world. Trella selected 50 artworks from this competition and created a 3-D immersive online art exhibition to showcase the beauty of nature through each of the artists’ eyes. Combining technology, art, and nature, Trella has created a platform where artistic creation and appreciation for nature are fully celebrated. Given the immense popularity of the 2021 art competition and the virtual museum, Trella anticipates organizing more future art x nature events and activities.
